10 months already?!?!?!

My little girl will be 10 months old tomorrow.  I seriously can't believe that she is almost 1.  People say "enjoy it while it lasts because soon she will be gone".  I didn't realize how true that is.  Before we know it she will be moving out and going to college.  AHH!!!! Can't even think about that right now.  Just some thoughts that I had this morning.  Got a little depressed not gonna lie.  I will post 10 month pics tomorrow! you know how awesome it feels to be completed caught up with my blogging?!  WONDERFUL!!!!!  That's how it feels... :)

California September 2013

Brooklynn and I got the opportunity to go down to CA for my cousin's wedding in September.  But, with the way flights worked out we got to stay for a whole week!!  While I missed my hubby and I know he missed us, I love going home.  It is always fun to just relax and do everything that I am unable to do in Idaho.  We go to all of my favorite places to eat that are not in Idaho Falls.  I go shopping with my mom.  I have family time with everyone that I don't get to see very often because I live 13 hours away.  AND it is nice and warm!!!!!!  No freezingness in Glendora.  It is like 80 up until November...when it goes down to 65 and stays that way almost all winter.  I LOVE IT!!!!

My cousin's wedding was fun too!  It was very pretty and all the decorations were wonderful!  Her dress looked gorgeous and she looked so happy.  Unfortunately, I couldn't bring Brooklynn (kids weren't allowed, I know she would have been so good though) so we had to leave early because it was almost an hour away from home so I was gone for almost 5 hours total.  It was fun seeing everyone on my dad's side of the family though.  I don't get to see them that often because I always miss the family get togethers.  But I had a great time.

I am also so glad that I can spend time with my siblings.  My sister, Hannah, is 9 (14 year gap, yes she was planned)  and my brother, Brendon, is 22.  He is autistic and is such a blessing in our lives.  But there is never a dull moment when he is around that's for sure.  But it was fun seeing them interact with Brooklynn as well.

I am so grateful for that opportunity and I can't wait for our next trip down!

I chopped my hair while I was down there.  I cut 6 inches off!  It took a little while to get used to but I love it!

She is her mother's daughter.  LOVES the water.  She was sad right before this picture was taken.  As soon as she got in the water, she was instantly a happy camper.  LOVE HER!

Melaleuca Picnic 2013

The annual Melaleuca picnic is always very fun!  Tons of prizes are given out (we've never won before :(  ), there is a ton of free food (popcorn, ice cream, snow cones, drinks, cotton candy, delicious lunch) and there are lots of fun things for kids to do.  I went into the big bubbles that floated above the water.  We also rode on the bull and that was fun too.  I can't wait for next year when Brooklynn can go on the different rides and blow up slides and obstacle courses.

Mmmm...yummy toes!
She loves to chew on the bottom of water bottles.
I think she likes the sound it makes.

In each department, someone wins gets a helicopter ride for two people in Frank's helicopter.  Brandon got this this year and we were able to take a ride.  It was so cool to ride in the front of the helicopter and see all the beautiful views.  The pilot also did some tricks and that was also very fun!

Brooklynn 7 months/ Lake Mead/ Soda SpringsShe

Brooklynn is getting teeth!  Her two bottom teeth came in at the same time and are growing.  They came up right before we left for our trip to Lake Mead.  She is still doing the army crawl but now gets on her hands and knees and rocks back and forth.  She is slowly trying more and more foods and eats a ton.  She's pretty much the cutest baby ever!  I completely forgot to take a 7 month picture, but I took plenty others!

First time in a sitting in a shopping cart without being in a car seat...

She got into the closet and got into everything!

At the beginning of August Brooklynn and I flew down to Las Vegas to meet my family.  We went to Lake Mead and had tons of fun!  Brooklynn absolutely loved going in the water and loved her floatie.  She 100% HATED her life vest though.  But I had fun knee boarding and going on the inner tube.  We also went with the Friends and saw the Hartwigs there.  It was fun seeing them and spending some time with them as well!

Taking a nap in the same place on the boat
we all did when we were little.

Brooklynn and I went down to Soda Springs for a night to visit with Lauren and her family.  The next day we went to a fair close to Soda Springs.  Brooklynn loved the animals and I had fun spending some girl time with Lauren!

Watching the horses

She was more interested in pulling the grass than looking at the camera!

Brooklynn 6 Months/ 4th of July

Brooklynn is smiling so much more!  She is starting to do the army crawl and can move around like that a little bit, but isn't quite mobile.  Which is good for mom and dad!  She still loves oatmeal and is now starting to eat other baby food.  Her first food that she tried was green beans and she ate the entire jar.  Maybe that's why she is so small, because she has been starving this whole time.  Formula just doesn't do the trick anymore.  Thank you SO MUCH CeeCee Photography for taking some of these adorable pictures!

First time in a high chair!

Happy Fourth of July!  We were in Idaho Falls this year and my family was able to come up to celebrate with us.  Brooklynn had an adorable outfit that was red, white, and blue and had a flag with stars and was just adorable.  However, she decided to soil it before I got a picture.  That little stinker.  We went to the parade in the morning (Brooklynn hated all the noise, and I really don't like it. I find it boring).  I don't know that I would like to go next year, but we will see!

It was also my brother, Brendon's, birthday and we celebrated his birthday by going to Pizza Pie Cafe for lunch and then going to see Despicable Me 2.  It was very fun.

After we saw the movie we got ready to go to the river to get ready to watch the fireworks.  We walked around to the different booths and ate some yummy food.  We went to where Brandon's family had saved a spot and played games.  As it got closer my family and my uncle's family came to join us.  We sat and waited for the fireworks.  Unfortunately, someone had jumped in the river to swim accross to the island in the middle.  He was drunk and was pulled under the water.   Nobody saw him come up and a search and rescue boat started looking for him.  Because of this, the fireworks were delayed an hour, but it was worth the wait and Brooklynn loved watching all the colors.  We had a very enjoyable Fourth of July and we were so blessed to share it with the people we love (Except my brother who was celebrating in Chemnitz, Germany).

Friday we went to the drive in and watched some movies.  Brooklynn fell asleep before the movies started and stayed asleep the whole time.  This was taken before the movies began with auntie Hannah.

Brooklynn 5 Months/ Jason and Megan's Wedding!

5 months... hasn't really hit any new milestones.  She's rolling around and laughing now.  She doesn't
laugh much but it is so fun when she does!  She is the cutest baby ever!

She was having a rough day...not letting mom get much of anything done!

At the beginning of June, we went to Northern California for my cousin's wedding.  It was a long 10 hour drive but Brooklynn was very good.  That drive is probably the most boring drive ever.  There is nothing out there, except two cities that are very small, until you get to Reno.  We stayed in Elko, NV for the night then continued on our drive the next day.  We stayed with some old friends that moved to the Sacramento area a few years ago.  That day we explored old town Sacramento and went to some fun places.  Sacramento is a really beautiful place.

Friday we went to the Fulsom prison museum, the one Johnny Cash sang about in one of his songs.  It was smaller than I thought but it was very interesting seeing all the weapons prisoners had made in the past and learning about the history of the prison.

I went shopping with my mom for a few hours and then we met everyone at a park for dinner put on by my aunt and uncle.  After dinner, Brandon went to the bachelor party and I stayed home with the girls. It was a fun and relaxing night.

Saturday was the wedding day and it was filled with the wedding festivities.  They got married in the Sacramento temple.  I am so grateful that we were able to be there.  We had a bit of a break so I went to some stores with Brandon and Brooklynn, and then we went to the party.

Their reception was gorgeous and very fun.  It was very hot and humid during the day and I think it took a toll on Brooklynn so she had a rough night, but I was able to eat the yummy food and dance with my hubby.  We had a great time.
Sunday we did the trip back all in one day.  Even though it was long, Brooklynn did so well.  I am so glad we were able to share with them their special day.
On the ride home, Brandon wanted a blanket too, so he stole Brooklynn's.
